Summary: Second Place winner for the "It was a dark and stormy night" challenge.
All Sasha ever wanted was to be needed.
She had the most beautiful, caring three daughters but it was never enough for her, was it? The moment she saw Vasilii, she'd never been able to deny him her love or her time.
Even when the Volturi threatened her with their lives.

I have a few people I need to thank for this one:
First of all, many thanks to my tremendous proofreader, C Thomas Flood, who made sure this story didn't turn out to be about insurance rates of year 1500. Without him, I most likely would have missed all of the mistakes even after reading this several times....and that wouldn't have been good.
Also, my good friend, Steph, who is practically my virtual sister, who went searching for an hour for the right picture for my banner. Without her, this story would be bannerless. And a happy birthday to her, also, who turns 18 today! I pretty much dedicate this one to her, who helped me calm down when I got frustrated with this story or wanted to give up on it.
And then there's my actual real life friend, Zoe, who helped me complete certain phrases that I couldn't find the right ending to. Certain sentences I knew made no sense, yet she took the time to help me make sense of my jumbled thoughts. So a big thank you to you (if you read this) for your help on those odd weekends that I became annoyed with myself.
Lastly, a big thank you to my friends on MWL who listened to my whining and complaining in the late hours of the night when I became tired, cranky, and irritable. This mostly goes to Ben and Kat who were patient enough to allow me to vent my feelings.
Anyway, that's all. All of these people helped me greatly when it came to this story and I owe all of you a large heartfelt thanks. I hope everyone enjoys this story, no matter how long and boring it may be in the beginning. I promise it gets more interesting...or at least I think it does.
